for those like myself witha cold air intake that uses oil it is a good idea to clean the mass sensor after you first install the cold air intake or after you wash it and re-oil it since some of the oil will find its way to your mass,trust me you dont want the dealer tell you this is the reason the check engine light is on or your car drives like shit because of the cold air kit you intalled .

yo i got a 02 Hyundai Sonata and i replaced my stock intake with a Spectre performance intake and i do have the stock MAF sensor on it everything is on sealed tight but my check engine light is on D: could this b another problem??
cause b4 it was my intake when i didnt have the sensor on it D:

Try resetting the ecu / clearing the code.
If it comes back, then you have a problem.

well i kinda now figured out the prob again its a bad clamp on one of the sleeves so i replaced it and tightened it all back up and now its all ok so im all good now

no no no . you should weld your hood shut. you should never spray carb cleaner on a mass air flow sensor . thats why they invented “mass air flow sensor cleaner” unless you want to blow it out when have to spend $200 on a new one. they are very sensative, water,temp,vibration can all destroy one. and never touch the element. the oil on your hands can wreck it, just like you should never touch halogen light bulbs with your fingers.
